ranches from a huge tree. We forgot to pay our bill at Le Cafe' yesterday so we paid it today & I had a Lamington. It's a square piece if cake with coconut frosting on the top & around every side. I wasn't impressed but it's a traditional dessert that I needed to try. Alison says that it sometimes turns out dry which she doesn't like. This one was dry.
We took a tour of the old university where the 1st woman to receive a degree in all of Britain & it's colonies, graduated. Saw several galleries including an artist demonstrating chalk pastels. Bought a basic vanilla ice-cream cone so I could taste the real flavor of their ice cream without some exotic flavor to disguise it. It was very creamy like Cold Stone Creamery's ice cream. Went to the Christchurch Museum.
Back to Jack's. Made dinner for the guys of leftovers & stuff we bought at the store. We watched the second part to that risqué show we saw a couple nights ago. It was quite funny & had a surprise ending. Alison watched a British comedy with four women in their 50's that I think I've seen in the US. She was laughing a lot but I couldn't see the humor. Either I couldn't relate because I didn't know the characters, or British humor truly is different than ours.
